Senate Bill 1165 Passes Senate Energy Committee
SEC Members:
The U.S. Department of Energy is dedicating funds to better forecast solar power in the U.S. This would be instrumental here in California, where there appears to be much confusion over the amount of solar that is being produced in the state and just where those electrons are going, as was evident during the discussion of net metering that SEC participated in at the Capitol.
On the Legislative Front: Your letters still needed on SB 1165!!
*** Tomorrow will be the first policy hearing in Senate Energy and Commerce Committee on SB 1165 (Wright) our SEC sponsored bill allowing schools to participate in the California Public Utilities Commission’s Intervenor Compensation Program.
Your letters to the Committee must now be faxed to (916) 445-1389 (Phone is 651-4107).
Click here to view the SEC letter to the Committee - please feel free to use it to draft your own letter.
Stay Tuned!
